Ribblesdale High School in Clitheroe set us a tough challenge. We were asked to convert an existing canteen area into a new multifunctional library and resource area.

It was essential that this new, interactive space was designed to meet the needs of the school and the way in which the pupils work. We not only had the job of supplying the furniture for the new facility, but the challenge of ensuring it was an effective space in which students and teachers alike could focus, learn and achieve.

We created several alternative floor plans based on the original brief and we worked closely with the school to ensure we properly understood their needs. Through our continued design input, a visually stimulating and functional working environment was created that fulfilled all of their requirements. The working space was based around four different zones, each meeting different needs. The finished library looks fantastic and has become a focal point in the school.

Charlotte Davies, Business Manager, said: “May I take this opportunity to thank Claughtons for the high quality service it provided to the school. From planning and designing to completion of the project, nothing was too much trouble. The standard of workmanship was excellent but above all the service, quality, customer care and after sales services has been outstanding.”
