St Patrick’s Catholic College
Skip to sub-navgiation ↓When St Patrick’s Catholic College in Stockton was looking to redesign the school’s IT suite, the staff there considered several furniture suppliers in the area. However, in the end, they opted for us because of our extensive experience in the education sector and our innovative and creative approach to finding solutions to unique and complex issues. They didn’t want an off the shelf service provider, but a true partner who would deliver an innovative and bespoke service to meet their needs.
Through initial design consultation meetings, we became fully conversant with the school’s important history, where it is today and where it wanted to be in the future. We then worked in partnership with the head teacher and the school’s wider team to come up with appropriate and sustainable solutions, tailored to meet the school’s limited budget for this project. Creativity really was at the heart of this important safety and security initiative.
To enable our design team to come up with floor plans and furniture designs, we took room measurements and listened carefully about what was needed. This meant that the design team was not only prepared for all on site meetings, but that they truly understood what would and wouldn’t work for the school and its pupils.
We later installed IT desks, with secure compartments for the computers. Additionally we supplied accompanying ergonomically designed chairs, to support the pupil’s posture, as well as media storage solutions.
The key to this project was sleekness. All cables and wires were hidden to maintain a clear work surface whilst eliminating health and safety risks in an environment where risks to health and safety can be higher.
Throughout the installation process, one of our project managers was always on hand at the school to maximise efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction and service delivery – prerequisites, which were reflected in our work at the school. These are core values for us and to a school that has a long and proud history.
We involved the school every step of the way. Building strong, effective and reciprocal relationships is very important to us. Involving the school’s team, without abstracting from their already busy schedules, meant that we were able to deliver what they needed with minimum fuss but to great effect.
Imran Mahfooz, IT Manager at the school, said: “From start to finish it was a pleasure to work with Claughtons.
“We had complete faith in the company as a whole. Staff were always prepared and utilised their previous expertise in this field. We always felt as though the team, both on and off site knew what was going on, and if we had any thoughts or questions we knew exactly who to go to, to get prompt, clear and thorough explanations.
“Claughtons showed understanding of both the individual project and the school as a whole, and did everything within its power to minimise disruption whilst on site.”
