St. John Fisher Catholic High School
Skip to sub-navgiation ↓We were engaged by St. John Fisher Catholic High School in Harrogate to carry out works which needed to be completed to a very tight deadline.
The school’s science labs needed a complete refurbishment over the summer holiday period and it was essential that the works were completed for the beginning of September, ready for the new school year.
Our education team worked closely with the architects and the school to design a floor plan layout that was aesthetically pleasing, functional and adhered to the relevant safety regulations. The final design incorporated service pillars and lab tables to allow flexibility for teaching students in groups or whole class teaching.
We utilised the latest technologies in heat and chemical resistant materials to ensure that the lab furniture was contemporary, durable and future proof and provided all lab fittings to match. David Fitzgibbons, from AEDAS Architects, said: “We knew we had a difficult job ahead of us, particularly with the school’s budget and timescale. The design ideas and layouts that Claughtons came up with, enabled the school to make decisions quickly, allowing the project to be completed within the timescale and budget.”
